811 Alfa Liquid Membrane
Solvent-free, single-component waterproofing membrane for the protection of moisture-sensitive subfloors and the prevention of cracks in ceramic floor covering. Dry within 24 hours.
Waterproof Tile Membrane for Moisture-Prone Areas
The solvent-free Alfa Liquid Membrane for seamless under-tile waterproofing comes ready for use in a bucket. It can be applied with a brush or roller. The sealant is odourless during its application. The liquid applied membrane protects sensitive subfloors in moisture-prone areas and areas with splash water, e.g. bathrooms, laundries, kitchens etc. Suitable only for indoors use.
Preparation of the subfloorThe subfloor has to be solid and level as well as free of grease, dust, oil and larger cracks. Before the liquid sealant can be applied, the subfloor has to be primed with 812 Alfa Tiling Primer to guarantee a good adhesion and give the membrane a solid base.
Maximum residual moisture of the subfloor:
Cement screed: 2.0 %
Anhydrite floor: 0.5 %
Anhydrite floor heated: 0.3 %
ApplicationStir the compound well before use. Apply evenly with the help of a brush or a roller in two to three coats. Let each coat dry thoroughly before applying the next one. In crack-prone areas such as wall-to-floor junctions, corners and pipe penetrations, the corresponding Liquid Membrane Tape or Sleeve (813 Alfa Liquid Membrane Tape, 814 Alfa Liquid Membrane Sleeve or 816 Alfa Liquid Membrane Corner) has to be used.
ConsumptionConsumption: between 350 and 700 g/m² per coat. Depending on the subfloor's structure and quality, 0.7 to 1.5 kg/m² (2 or 3 coats respectively) have to be applied.
Drying timeApproximately 3 hours at a temperature of +20 °C and 50 % RH
TilingAs soon as the membrane is fully cured (approx. 24 hours), the ceramic floor covering can be installed.
